We're planning to use WHMCS with a new Enom account - but which Enom account and how much? It's really confusing and I'd ask Enom, but have read their support is not the best, so I reckon you guys will tell it like it is, without the male cow thrown in.
Some say you have to make a minimum deposit of $100 with Enom. Looking around their site http://www.enom.com/pricing.asp though, they say "eNom's Reseller GOLD Pricing Plan has no account fee" but then you need minimum $1495 to open an account! Then they say "Become an eNom Reseller for as little as $195" - that's a fee, not a credit.
All I want is for people to place their orders, including a domain name, and for WHMC to check availability via Enom (or wherever). When an order is placed, a real human is notified and personally checks and approves the order, a) because we have our own credit card merchant account, and b) I don't want rubbish on our servers, so I don't need instant processing via Paypal etc.
Nor am I particularly interested in making a large margin on domain names, as I see this as a component of our full client service, not a means of making more money.
Would really appreciate an honest insight into Enoms plans/pricing and pitfalls to beware of.
Thanks
PS. We could stay with Registerfly, but frankly they are making me very stressy.
