Only shows 488 for me. But remember, the search only counts how many threads you have posted in, doens't count if you posted like 10 times in 1 thread :) Am I smart or what :D

I know for a fact that I've posted two or more times in more than just a few threads. I've been involved in some of those long drag out threads that never seem to want to stop and being off just a few posts wouldn't help that cause. In any case, I'm sure there is a legitimate reason as to why this happens.

Hmm.... If I reply twice to a thread would that thread only so up once in a search?...

Isn't Chicken seeing more posts than the rest of us because he's a mod? I don't even want to see my search results.. seeing how I've been a member here forever (as long as Chicken) and my post count is so low. :bawling:

We'll bug Patrick to re-run Update Counters over the next weekend or so just to reduce load on server....

It should also be pointed out that posts aren't deleted: they're merely moved to a special Purgatory forum for our records (to keep track of previous spammers, spot patterns and the like) so even after post count is re-adjusted, if you posted in a thread which was thrown out, then you wouldn't be able to see the post but you'd still be credited with the post. ;)

I'm missing ten. Grrr! Maybe this is an error in the way VBulliten grabs or displays the total amount of results from the MySQL call. Geeky talk is fun. Wierd error though.

I think it's more to do with deleted posts.
A mod can still view them (Chicken says he has higher search results than we do).
We cannot view (and don't get the results) of deleted threads and posts.

I think SWR is trying to make up for his 222 missing messages in this thread alone! :)

As BC pointed out, the messages aren't really deleted but moved into a grease pit, I'm sure when the mods search their results include the garbage whereas ours do not. Of course, that either means you were naughty little boy or you participated in a thread started someone who wa naughty.

And for the record: Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 245 for me. Missing ~160 posts (too lazy to do the math)! Wow...

At the time I checked I had 321 posts, but only found 319 posts....

I'm only missing 2 posts. :stickout :D
