View Full Version : Mysql database and logging

I don't have server access on my hosting package but i do have a cpanel with fantastico installed.

I would like to ship out my databases to somebody else, they've purhcased my domain and all that comes with it including an smf forum (ok we all have a cross to bear, smf is mine i know)

Anyway, i can gain access to the dbase via myphpadmin and i can do all that myphp admin does.

What i want to know, understand and maybe deal with is.

If i back up my website via the cpanel function and where it then tells me to reinstall it i'll need to have an administrator do it (presumably thats because i do not have a dedicated vps or even dedicated server) then can anyone tell me if there are any logs via the mysql that show where i've been on the database at any time in the past? (not me specifically) as in does it log all actions to the database taken through myphpadmin? Does myphpadmin log what someone is doing within the database via myphpadmin? If so, where is that log and how do i remove it?

Basically i want to transfer the database to someone but i do not want that person being nosey as to what i've been doing (obviously i have np experience of dbase access but i want to be sure that i eradicate all traces of me via the database if thats feasible)

Thank you.

Anyone? Or is there a problem with the request?

I thought the idea of this forum was to get a little help/advice on queries. Seems that it isn't quite that at all.

Your activities with the phpmyadmin will be logged in the Cpanel access/error logs and a normal user cannot delete those informations.
