also, i ordered a different server from PixelFX (one that isn't offered here but was offered to me by Sales) and i'd like to recommend them for the quick setup time! probably took around 6hrs (other providers took 2-3 days).

i'm happy so far... :)

I think I made a mistake ordering this server:

The speeds are a bit too slow for me and my friend (who is renting this server with me). He has an 8Mbit connection at home and he has tried FTP'ing from/to it and gets only around 280kB/s. My 100Mbit dedicated server from LeaseWeb only gets around 380kB/s FTP from and to it.

We are trying to host a live and video-on-demand webcasting on our PixelFX server and several ppl have tried streaming the video from the server but they are only streaming it at around 70kB/s which is unacceptable for what we want to do with the server.

I know that PixelFX offers multi-threading but in our case, multi-threading isn't of any use when we are offering live and on-demand webcasts! How much speed can ONE single user pull on the server using only ONE download thread?

It's disappointing because what good is an unmetered server if you need multi-threading to make full use of it?
