hi

I need a one help. One of my client having a customer support service company and they are sending too many emails in a day. We have a reseller account with hostgator but they are having email policy rule in that a user or account can send only 200 emails in an hour. But my client when they are sending a email this limit is always cross. Because they are sending too many emails in an hour.

Currently we are in need of a reseller hosting in windows/linux for this client. We were also tried with servergrid but they are having a issue with the hotmail. Our emails are not going to any hotmail account. But instead of looking our problem this company told us to contact hotmail. We are confuse like who is our hosting provider...hotmail or servergrid.

Please help us to find a best provider. And i want to know how is 1and1.com in term of emails? are they having any email policy

Regards
saju:)

I am sure alot of hosts these days have a strict email policy due to the SPAM that exists today.

I would contact 1and1.com in terms of their email policies on per hour emails allowed.

I highly recommend a VPS for your email sending if they are legit.

We have spent some time working through this customer's Hotmail questions with him over the past week or so. Servergrid's mail servers are registered with Hotmail's Smart Network Data Services, which allows us to view detailed statistics on our servers' deliverability to Hotmail and receive early warning of any issues. In this particular case, both our own logs and the SNDS report from Hotmail verify the server that hosts this customer's email domain has been successfully sending approximately 1000 emails per day from Servergrid customers to Hotmail and that there is no server-wide problem with any of our servers' deliverability to Hotmail. Hotmail support has confirmed that their SmartScreen technology will block selected email based on content, even from servers that are otherwise sending to Hotmail with no problems.

A review of other recent WHT posts made by this customer reveals he has run into rate limiters sending a large amount of email from accounts he has with other hosts. This large email volume supports the determination that his emails are being blocked based on his content and not by mail server IP.

Unfortunately after several of our techs took the time to thoroughly investigate this, verify for the customer that the blockage was not caused by any issue at Servergrid, and recommend he investigate further with Hotmail regarding his email content, the customer began demanding that we fix the issue for him immediately or he would post at WHT and spread his claim that Servergrid's mail servers are unable to send to Hotmail.

At any rate, several investigations on our side have proven conclusively that our servers are sending to Hotmail with no issue. We wish this customer luck at his new host and hope he is able to work with Hotmail to improve his deliverability to their servers.

Please reread my post above; in short our server IPs are not blacklisted and hundreds of other customers' emails are being delivered from this server to Hotmail on a daily basis with no issue. To be honest, after your threats and unprofessional conduct toward our staff we think it is best for all involved that you seek hosting elsewhere. Please let us know when you are set up at your new host so your current account can be closed. Thanks for your past business and we wish you the best of luck.
