Hi there,

Am contemplating signing up with them in the hope that (pending the popularity of the future site) that I can switch from the basic to the professional accounts with no complications whatsoever.

The brag about being well known and stuff... so, does anyone know and can vouch for this host?

Alternatively, can anyone point me to a host who offer similar stats (linux) as liquidweb please?

Many thanks,

Aymo.

They are really fast with support. I had a cpanel license with them awhile back. Excellent support. About 2 years ago or so when I didn't have my own hosting company I was on their network through one of their dedicated customers. Never had any noticable downtime.

I used them when I first started to host web sites because there pro accounts gave 30 gigs and I could eat up those 30 gigs.

good customer service. but they have alot of clients per servers so be advised about that.

down time is about 1 day per week for about 15 minutes or the server would get real slow

Really you should probly ask the people in the request forums. Here nobody can advertise their company to you nor any other really because we would get our name banned. Maybe a mod can move this thread to there or maybe just open one in there.

I used LiquidWeb for about a year on their $25 a month plan. I actually hardly ever used it for much but eMail and storing a file every now and then. Probably didn't use an average of 15MB a month.

Still there was downtime 1 or more times a week and slow server response issues. There were other issues as well. They had a pretty good support response time though, but far from perfect. If I had to rate them, it would be about a 7.7 out of 10. I switched hosts a couple weeks ago and have been pretty happy so far.

That was posted almost 2 years ago (december 2000), is that the most recent complain anyone can find on Liquid Web??

If so then that's a pretty good track record in my opinion!

I have been with Liquidweb for a year and a half. When I first started they were good, there there were outages everyday for an hour or two. I was in finals at school and didnt have time to think about it. then it was fine and three weeks ago the server i was on was down for a day(really 30 hours). then it was up. my sites ip wasnt working so they moved me and now my subdomains didnt work. I have left and gone to VenturesOnline (http://venturesonline.com). A friend of mine (http://equaked.com) was at lw and he left after a month when his server crashed. So I wouldnt use them.
