You'll either need to buy some spendy software, or hire someone to build a system for you. You're going to need to find a dialup wholesaler, if you wish to go that route. Then setup a RADIUS server, preferably database powered. Then, invest in lots of Coffee or other anti-sleep food. Because, failures do happen, and usually late at night. Customers tend to discover problems before you will. All in all, don't start an ISP unless you really want to, and know what you're doing. barrywien 06-30-2002, 06:50 PM It is not really that hard, depending on how you would like to go about it - I recommend reselling a dialup provider first, and then moving onto running the actual handling system before adding your other essential ISP features. Thats a quote from there website, it depends on the amount of customers you plan to use your service. And well, the price works out good if you have 1000+ users paying you monthly to use your service. Budget for it and you will be fine. Good luck |
