 | View Full Version : Name Server Atif Munir 06-29-2002, 07:14 AM Hi, Today my name servers change automatically :( whois shows that as under ns3.mydomain.com IP ns1.mydomain.com IP But from the site is comming from ns1.mydomain.com y it is so? Atif Munir, The DNS system will randomly select a name server; it doesn't go by what domain name server is first in the list, but what is responding with the most up-to-date information. If you are getting a different website on each name server then you need to update the out-of-date server to reflect the same information as the current and correct server. Atif Munir 07-01-2002, 12:07 AM HI, My first NS1 was down so sites were browsing using NS2. Now I have bring the NS1 up but still sites are resolving using the NS2.
