Hello. I want to submit my site to as many search engines as possible. What's the best search engine submitter site "you" have "used"? I'm interested in submitting to as many engines as possible for free from one single location. Thanks in advance.

Most search engine submitters just spam your email addresses with ads and stuff you don’t want. If you’re looking to get your page ranking on Google and other search engines you would probably need to find a service to do this for you unless you’re familiar with robots and Meta tags. <<snipped>> Good luck..

I think you're best off just waiting for the spiders to come visit you. The majority of search engines (other than the "big 3") aren't worth submitting to - you won't get any traffic from them.

Most search engines have a page where you can add your site to a list of sites to be spidered. Check out: http://www.google.com/addurl/

I would suggest go for manual submission.

Don't submit, just go for link building, add some new links every day.

You'll be waiting for months if you manually submit your site. Your best option is to either link build or go find a popular forum and stick your URL in your signature or a post. It's a great way to get indexed in a couple of days.

Most search engines dont count ur signatures on forums, they dont count links on forums at all..... I thought i ready something about that? Or am i wrong?

The links from dynamic pages generated by forum scripts don't influence your PR, however they are good for traffic generation.

Yup. I get so much more traffic from posting with signature in relevant forums than if you just depended on spiffing up your PR alone.

Nowadays, I find people invest way too much in PR. WOnder if it's truly worth it? Say if you spend $200 a month on a good link. Multiply by 3-6 months for that link to convert to any PR effect. That's $600-$1200!

Invest that amount into a good traffic site with customer prospect for your site, and you will end up with much more sales. With more sales and customers, you will find that your PR gradually improves on its on anyways.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with getting links rather than submitting to search engines.

Forums are a great place as long as they don't prevent spiders from picking up the links.

Otherwise search engine friendly directories are good and sometimes more relevant, which always helps with rankings.

Or links from other similar websites, better if not exactly reciprocal...

Thanks all for your great suggestions. Keep going with those tips... :) This thread has turned into something beneficial for us all site promoters.

Done so far based on suggestion in this thread:

- Submitted to the 3 top search engines
- Submitted to 1000 link directories
- Posting signature links on Vb forums related to my theme, preferably those boards that use Vbseo. I also use searchstatus firefox extension to see if signature links are blocked from the spiders in that forum.

Domain is fairly new and I'm starting to get traffic already, mostly from Yahoo. 70 pages are indexed in Google.
