View Full Version : Free Hosting Required
nadzak 06-29-2002, 01:45 AM Hello,
I have a domain that I registered and I wish to get free 100 MB hosting with unlimited band width. I plan to launch a free love and relationship consultancy site where people from the east can discuss their relationships in a forum and mail me their problems and read the replies.
Sort of like an askmen.com site but for both genders and for the Eastern Society in particular as love and spirituality is a bit different here. Of course, I will shift to a paid hosting plan as this site gets bigger and bigger with time but currently just want a good FREE hosting on Linux with NO STRINGS ATTACHED, if there is such a thing.....
Please let me know abt a free hosting service which doesn't have a name server like....."ns1.free.hosting.com"......without any pop-ups or banner Ads.
50 Mb will do just fine as well. A database is needed with atleast 1 POP 3 e-mail account too.....
Waiting for a positive guidance and response.....
nadzak 06-29-2002, 01:47 AM By the way.....I have my own domain that I forgot to mention....

TheMMIz 06-29-2002, 02:00 AM You should have posted your request in the REQUESTS forum so people can respond to you. One word about Unlimited bandwith though, I wouldnt go around saying that too loud on this website... the whole "Unlimited Bandwith" theory just doesnt float around here. Good luck with your request though.

Living proof that you get what you pay for. Keep watching though, it'll be back up. :)
nadzak 06-29-2002, 02:15 AM Okay...I got my fingers crossed but without the banners and pop-ups, FREE HOSTING (No Strings)....does seem unlikely....but hey....you never know ;-)

It just ain't gonna happen. People don't just put free servers with unlimited bandwidth, no ads, databases, POP email...
You know the little samples of food they give out in the grocery store? You're asking if you can have a few packages free. Every day. With some side dishes to go with it, and if they'll carry your bag out to your car for you as well.
Be reasonable and you'll get help...
DynastyHost 06-29-2002, 02:43 AM HAhaha chicken.... I love your analogy...
nadzak 06-29-2002, 02:55 AM Well....I thought I "might" find somebody who'd give me free hosting and if service is good enough, I guess a text or a small banner wouldn't hurt.....but POP UPs are traffic eliminators.

Well, free hosts have annoying banners, paid hosts don't. Many of these people do this for a living, and have expenses to pay, so asking for it for free just isn't going to work. There's just no way you're going to find even remotely dependable hosting (forget high transfer amounts - read: throttled).

nadzak 06-29-2002, 03:22 AM Guess What ChickeN :)
Okay forget it....your head'll start hurting....lolz
Anyway, Thanks for your "feedback"....duhhh! But I found my Free Host and for a button banner on my site and the service rocks!
Thanks everyone for all the help.... :)
Chicken 06-29-2002, 03:29 AM Excellent, thread closed... it just don't get any better than this...
