Hi all.

I run a very busy free forum (nearing 30,000 members) which is hosted on a dedicated server for which the cost comes out of my own pocket.

Many people have suggested that I should put Google Adwords on my forum as it would bring in some good money to help fund the cost of the dedicated server.

So onto my question... WHAT IS GOOGLE ADWORDS?

Please give me as much info as possible and how much I am likely to get moneywise per month considering my site is a celebrity forum with near to 30,000 registered members. Is it just a case of people clicking on adds bringing in $0.50 per click (I've heard of these kinds of programmes before but surely you aren't likely to get much money this way). Please help if you can.

Yep, depending on your traffic, Adsense can bring in a nice chunk every month. Depending on where you live, you might even be able to get it directly deposited into your bankaccount.

AdWords, on the other hand, is a good way for you to advertise on the cheap.

Adsense can be profitable if you use it very wisely. There is no set estimate on how much it would pay. Cost per click also varies. It is all dependant on your content as to what ads a shown. Be sure to read all the terms very carefully.

Adsense can be profitable.It is better to put adsense in forums that point to programming and other technical queries.You will get free scripts which help you for article submission and you can put adwords also.
