Hi, you can use search option on the forum and find lots of threads about Enom and its support, here's one (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=574229&highlight=Enom)of them.

I would suggest you to check resellerclub, with that volumen, you can get 6.49$ pricing, there is an offer for transfer at 6.29$ until 12th January.
with that volumen, you should give them a call, maybe you can get a good deal ;-)

With that amount your can save at least $8,000 if you transfer to http://www.StarGate.com with a Free Reseller Account. Contact Tom, under WHT ID Stargate.com .

Also, I think if you call sales at http://www.SRSPlus.com they will give you a very good price. Their posted Reseller Price is $7.95.

Good Luck!

If you are managing 8000 names I would be real careful about transferring and where. Also any advertised prices DO NOT apply. Contact a few registrars, checkout their interfaces, do your reesarch. Also with that volume of names you will get good pricing anywhere you go.

Try out moniker.com at $6.95 pricing but contact them maybe they will give you better pricing :)
Wish you good luck.

I would request a Fabulous.com's quote, domains are 6.50$ there, if you have a large portfolio (500+ names).

You may get a better price for such number of domains.

G

Great tips all in all. :)

Good luck in making your choice, adapter. You've got lots to consider.

You can search for the Registrars and try to get the details as its the matter of transerring 8000 domains.

You can also list the names. I am sure people will be able to suggest you on the same.

With that amount of domains, be sure to do your research (as elsewhere stated). However whatever you do, do not move to eNom, they really suck. They crashed my busiest site for 6 days and they never replied to any of my support tickeys :(

What about going for icann acredditation yourself? http://www.logicboxes.com/ can help you and make it simple and provide you with the software if you need it..

There's no point in getting accredited for 8k domains. Here's the cost:

.COM $6 Icann .25

So 6.25 but you haven't paid for ANY overhead. You haven't paid registry and ICANN maint. fees. You don't have DNS, or ANY services.

Trust me, you can never save money by becoming accredited if you have less than 50k domains. Probably much more than that.

yes get accredited yourself.
it may be only a little cheaper than what you pay now, but then you are your own registrar.
I assume with 8000 domains cost will be arount 6.85$

If you calculate the additional variable $6K yearly ICANN cost, liquid $70K you have to show prior the accreditation, insurance for $1Million, custom software (will cost $50K average even if you outsource the project) and servers (even if you will be hosted to a registrar they will get $0,25-0,35 per name for their services with will increase the per name total) plus the $6.25 standard you have to pay per name leads you to the simple conclusion that accreditation is not an option for anyone without serious business model

For such a small number of 8K accreditation is not suggested IMO

yes but if 8K now and 15K next year, it is good thought

Good thought? To save what? $0.25 per domain? Even with 15K domains, that's like $3750 per year worth of saving. Again, how much expenses do you need to get accredited?

15000 domains is still not worth getting accredited.

Watch out for registrars or offers below $6.95 as margins are really slim and you might be switched later. Look for registrars that have solid reseller programs.

Exactly! It's not as easy and cheap to become a registrar as everyone here makes it out to be. I mean, after all, look at Registerfly ;-)

Looks like SRSPlus is a subsidiary of Network Solutions, is this their discounted price brand?

I really like the upgraded Enom interface that was installed recently. Over the past couple of years I have been transferring all my domains to Enom. I have inherited OpenSRS names and I also was previously using Registerfly as well as 000Domains. I have not had any trouble with Enom, tickets have been answered in a decent amount of time, etc. I don't know how easy it is to rebrand their system or if they have a white-box solution. But in any case, I am very happy there. By the way, I do have one of the $6.95 priced accounts.
