Hi.
I am trying to setup DNS server for my plesk box.
When I edited setting on zoneedit.com, I just put my plesk box IP. but I am not sure this is enough. Should I do something on plesk box side? I am pretty sure there are many people using zoneedit.com free DNS service. Please help me.

Thanks.

Hi! Yes, that is basically all you need to, make sure email is setup correctly too.

Login:
http://www.zoneedit.com/auth

Select your domain name.

Click on IP Address

Make sure that www is added and pointed to the same IP.

Click on mail servers.

Add a record that says,
www.adomain.net handles mail 1st for domain adomain.net

That is it!

You also need to have webmail.domain.com A record for your IP address
Thats how I got Plesk working with ZoneEdit:)

And for mail its better to make mail.domain.com A record for IP address and set mail server as mail.domain.com

thanks for very useful info.
how about ftp? should i set ftp.domain.com A record too?
if i use mail.domain.com A record, should i remove this setting?
www.adomain.net handles mail 1st for domain adomain.net and... can i make sub.domain.com using zoneedit not using seperate IP?
