I wondered if anyone has any knowledge or experience using the windows and/or linux logos in print advertising for their hosting business.

I notice the big hosts use them and I expect they have a license for this ? I have googled this and read about licensing logo on micorosft, but not sure if it related to use in print media/advertising etc. Bit sketchy.

So if anyone knows the situation with this, I'd appreciate feedback and advice on going about using them.

Join the Microsoft Partner program and you can use there logos. As for linux, most of that is available without restriction unless you are specific to a vendor of which they will have certification/partner programs you need to agree to before using logos.
