I'm thinking of having webmasters.com host my website. I won't be doing any e-commerce at the moment. They have a lot of features I may not need (but always good to have just incase :D )
They offer $9.95 for their standard (one and only) package but it uses virtual domain name resolution.
What are the pros and cons compared to a static IP (extra $5 for static IP)
Also the info on their site says they've been around since 1994, but there isn't much info you can find about them? Anyone have any experiences with them?
Thanks

There may be a very good reason their whois record is only 14 months old. But I would atleast ask.

PS, if you don't need the dedicated IP at the moment, then save your $. Primary uses are to enable anonymous FTP and SSL. Sounds like you are a candidate for saving 5$.

There are no advantages to having a static IP unless you want to enable SSL (most hosts give you shared SSL even without a static IP), or anon ftp.
