Basically a client wants to be able to mail each of their clients the invoices monthly, with options of paying online..but they want that 'paper copy' invoice for the personalization of it all....I know servint does this, do any of the larger billing applications support this?

So each month on say the 25th you could mass-print all the invoices and envelopes..stuff and send?

I don't know about that but whmcs produces PDF invoices that it sends along with the emails if that helps?

Most let you print one, but the client wanted one that woul dallow them to do a 'one click' printing of say 100 clients worth.

ClientExec do a pretty good job at PDF invoicing, since since it send the reminders every day to the non paying customer, do a pretty good job at collections as well :)

WHMcs has a print option.

i have been using clientexec so far is great and also easy to use than other billing software ...

These are great. You can hand mail them or keep for your records.

Is this for web hosting though or something else? WHMCS is of course designed around the hosting buisiness but there are many custom config options in there so you can pretty much do anything you want.

I know ModernBill is working on it, don't know the situation on the others. Currently it's one, but they are working it emailing and printing of multiples at a time in PDF.

Yeh modernbill has sent me far too many e-mail spamming their up and coming PDF bills....i think you can produce PDF invoices now...however they still working PDF other things (please dont ask me what they are)

You can write an extension to ModernBill 4 to do it... We did it for the clients that insist on having invoices posted to them

I don't think so, but they're a lot easier to deal with than HTML invoices.

Yes, I know that is easy to work with PDF, but I was looking for an alternative instead of sending manual invoices (if the user asks) and I want to know if the PDF has some validity or it's void.

Nick, if what I understand is correct.. you are looking for a billing application where the admin can click a button and have a PDF version of the invoices generated and then printed?

If so, then I'm not aware of any such billing applications for the hosting industry.

What you might try and do is ask the developers of one of the existing apps (WHM CS, CE, AWBS, etc) develop some kind of mod so that a PDF version of the invoices due can be created and dumped into a folder on the server.

mrzippy, ModernBill does what you just stated. What it doesn't do "YET" is what Nick is asking for - The ability to do multiple invoices at one time.

This is currently in development for them.
