Hello

Need advise :Windows®-based HTML editor

For a long time, i use CutheHtml 1.2 version.
I know, that now there are more fresh versions of this editor, but i don't like that.

1.2 version is nice version and it have all features, that i need.

the only negative is, that i cann't open more than 500 files at once and do mass edit.

Total commander, which i use to find all files, that i need to edit, can search and find in more than 10k files, but when i try to open all this files in Cutehtml, it don't allow.

As i know, Cutehtml don't use so much memory (btw, i'm on P4, 1gb RAM PC).

may be u can suggest any other text editor, which i can use for mass file edits.

thank you

If this is a local program have you considered Expression Web? Or maybe UltraEdit?

I know a lot of people like HTML-Kit. I'm just fine with notepad.

UltraEdit can do a mass edit. I used to use it to correct files from Blue Cross when I was consulting with them.

And Frontpage is no more. MS replaced it with Expression Web to create compliant (X)HTML code.

I don't understand the "mass edit" thing. Do you mean you have to change some line in 500 static pages?

MS replaced it with Expression Web to create compliant (X)HTML code.At least attempt to create it. Too bad IE doesn't know xhtml.

i have never used an editor, notepad is just fine.

As many people say....stay oldschool and everything is good.

Like a joiner, if he doesnt use electronic tools, he is slower....but much neater and less error prone.....

Note pad is good....why change.....unless you want an instant preview which i accept :)

I would suggest dreamweaver from macromedia. For starters though something simple, never hurt to get started with dreamweaver and you get more experience and expand your knowledge you will need the tools dreamweaver offers.

If you start with a simple program, its hard to learn a new way around another program.

Just thought I'd put my two pickles in a jar here.. :)
