Hi,
I need help in finding a good host that will support MS Frontpage. I have changed already 2 different hosts (not because they do not support Frontpage), but because they are very poor quality hosts. (including: olm.net and hostway.com). They were rated tops in many "host compare web services", but they are HORRIBLE. (probably they are all paid-for advertizements)
I have my personal site hosted an outstanding host (futrequest) for non-frontpage hosting. I am looking for the same quality hosting using frontpage. Specifically I am looking for:
1) Solid control pannel with upload function (as the company I work for has strict firewalls, I cannot use FTPs)
2) Good mail-manager with "catch-all" feature, web-based POP, and easy to use and setup features.
3) Most importantly: Fast and Reliable support (really 24 hours a day, not like most claim)!!!
4) I am willing to pay up to $25 a month, but at least have the quality service that I need. I am trying to start my own busines...

Please help me out!!!

Thank you for all your comments

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't you be publishing with FrontPage itself? Uploading by other means can break the site, and will definitely disable any embedded FP components.
I think any Alabanza-based host would meet those requirements. The File Manager tool allows for file uploading, and web-based email was recently introduced. Good luck!

Hi,
Check out this thread for a list of most of the hosts that frequent this board. Most will be able to accomodate you.

You may want/need to upload files other than HTML files. So a good upload control panel helps.

Those files should be part of the "web" or you run the risk of screwing up the FP site. I will grant you that you may have a subfolder outside the FrontPage web where you use other means to publish, and that would be fine.

But FP is might finicky about publishing outside of itself. There are checksums, indices, etc. that get updated when you publish within FP that do not get updated when you just shoot a file up there. I've seen it happen, it's not pretty. That's FP for ya, though.
