kmovie 06-27-2002, 06:03 AM $199.00 US/Month
means 2400$us/month,so much money!!
bbi-linux 06-27-2002, 06:08 AM
$199.00 per month = $199.00 per month or $2388 per year
just to clear that up ;)
kmovie 06-27-2002, 10:10 AM that is not a special offer, this price is very expensive!
Brin_AcuNett 06-27-2002, 10:22 AM That price is actually very cheap as it is a managed service.

Errr... I don't think he specifically asked for comments on his pricing.
Besides, this is an Inflow datacenter (extremely good datacenters, but bandwidth is expensive). You are getting far superior bandwidth to Cogent, etc.
richy 06-27-2002, 01:59 PM thats a fine price for whats on offer. maybe you could research a little before commenting.
Inflow bandwidth is not cheap. Just because he doesn't include tons of Cogent or non-Tier 1 transfer doesn't mean that it isn't a good offer.

*sigh* the world is full of clients now all thinking that $99 servers is the norm. What happened to the realistic viewpoints of paying $300 and up for a quality machine and service. His prices are not expensive, do your homework before tearing down someones offer.
I think this is a very good offer.
$4/G is not too bad with that kind of bandwidth. In fact I pay the same for my current server. How about other control panels? (ensim, Cpanel)
Mac
2Grumpy 06-27-2002, 10:46 PM Fully managed? Hell that's a mighty fine price, I wouldn't put a fully managed server online with 0 bandwidth for less than $300 a month, plus bandwidth!

$4/GB is normal, but they should let you buy bandwidth in bulk to get some discount (I guess they will if you ask).
Inflow is good datacenter.
$199 for such managed server (basic) is very cheap I think.
bbi-linux 06-28-2002, 05:59 AM We would do better than $4 per GB on prepay bandwidth the $4 per GB is pay as you go at the end of each month, we would do
25 GB extra at $3.75 per GB
50 GB extra at $3.50 per GB
100 GB extra at $3.25 per GB
Over 100GB talk to us :)
How about other control panels? (ensim, Cpanel)
At present we are just offering plesk, because we know it well and so can offer a true managed service for it. We do have a test server with ensim on it but we are probably looking at 6 months before we offer it, but quite happy to talk to anyone about alternative control panels, set-ups etc
