I am wondering if anybody here have heard of any news concerning these 2 registrars. They seem to offer a lot for a very low price. Please share some thoughts. Thanks.

Unless I'm missing it, neither of them has an ICANN
Accredited Registrar logo on their site. If you've only got a handful of domain names, I would go with someone like Dotster.com who has a proven track record. If you've got a ton of domain names you need to register and price is a major factor, I would do a test by registering one domain name with each company and see what happens (hopefully not a domain name that's critically important to you).

I have several domains registered with PowerPipe.com and have not experienced any problems thus far. They offer good support and a nice control panel to manage your domains options.

Isn't it impossible for a domain to be registered without going through an ICANN registrar? Are not most resellers for registrars?

to NameCheap.com I also can't find that they are really accredited by ICANN, I just looked at there Website and found them not ! I now think they are ReSellers of OpenSRS then there own Domain is registred via Tucows OpenSRS:

To PowerPipe, they are ReSellers of eNom.com and they are accredited by ICANN:

I personal have two Domains via PowerPipe and I had no Problems with them.

When you really search for a cheap and direct accredited ICANN-Registar then go to StarGate [http://www.stargateinc.com/], they offer when you register 2 Domains and more at the same Time the Domain for !!! USD 8.-- !!!

Also here I have 3 Domains with them an had no Problems with them. I will transfer in the Future all My Domains to them (actually I have them at Joker.com for EUR 12.--).
