ChrisBowd 01-06-2007, 01:18 AM RegisterFly (if you really want to trust their presently buggy registration system) is offering .net registrations at $2.99 using coupon code NETSPECIAL. NameCheap is $7.99 using coupon code HAPPYNEWYEAR. Netfirms is $4.95 with a limit of 5 domains at that price per individual. Domainsarefree is $3.99 NameCheap is probably the best of them by a long way. HNLV 01-06-2007, 02:18 AM I have a bunch of dot net domains to buy but want to keep prices down if possible, any ideas? If you are experienced at domain management and believe that you rarely need help from the registrar, go with 1and1.com The price is $5.99/year But beware, don't expect an ultra feature rich control panel. It is feature rich in the sense that you will essentially get everything you need such as domain forwarding, domain locking, auto-renewals, email forwarding, email catch-all account, DNS management, global domain changes (if all the domains are under the same contract), Free privacy protection, among various other things. Once again I will warn you, support is very minimal to non-existent. So make sure you know your stuff. oKiao 01-06-2007, 09:29 AM If you are experienced at domain management and believe that you rarely need help from the registrar, go with 1and1.com The price is $5.99/year But beware, don't expect an ultra feature rich control panel. If you are just using the domain for yourself, there is no loss to go to 1and1.com (I have my domains hosted there, no problem so far) Though if you doing domain reselling, 1and1.com is definitely a no. Does anyone have experience using estdomains and know if that price also applies to transfers? ChrisBowd 01-08-2007, 02:16 AM To answer (part of) my own question I took a .info and .org through the transfer process with estdomains and both were priced at $6 each. |
