I am hosted by IPowerWeb, and in the hosting package I have, I get the domain name for free. The domain is registered in my name, not IPowerWeb's. I am thinking about switching from IPowerWeb to a different host and then transfering the domain elsewhere, but I was wondering if that would work since I'm getting the domain for free with my package from IPowerWeb.
I think it would be fine, with the domain registered in my name, but I wanted to ask for opinions before I started researching a new host and a place to transfer my domain to.

Who is the admin email contact for the domain, and where is the domain registered?

Hi
Since you are the listed Admin of the domain - you have no problem here. You can also transfer your site to another registrar to gain full controll of your own domain.
I suggest you go to www.StarGateinc.com or www.GoDaddy.com - these two can transfer the domain to you.

Awesome, thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to find out.
