Yesterday, I transferred 51 domains between GoDaddy and eNom, and it took only somewhere between 12-17hrs!! I started unlocking the domains and requesting the auth codes at 2.30pm. That took about an hour. I put in the transfer request at eNom, received the transfer approval emails and approved them. By 6.30pm I'd approved the transfers away at Godaddy, and they were GONE from my GoDaddy account (after only 4 hrs). I waited for them to appear in my eNom account but got tired and went to bed. By the time I woke up and checked my eNom account, they were in my eNom account. I suspect that eNom (maybe all registrars) batch process domains into customers accounts every 12 or 24 hours. Not in real-time. Hence the delay after they left my GoDaddy account after only 4 hours. An example of something GoDaddy have got right. Transfers away. It's appreciated. It doesn't require the 5-10 days of hassle we experience at other registrars.

So, when I transfered seventy domains from BulkRegister/eNom to StarGate it took exactly 10 days after e-mail approval to see the domains appear at my StarGate account.
So, would the holdup be at the StarGate end in receiving the domains or at the BulkRegister/eNom end in releasing them?
Perhaps BulkRegister/eNom is slower giving up domains than they are in receiving them.
Is there any others who have experienced a fast transfer from BulkRegister/eNom?
Perhaps as the New Year approaches BulkRegister/eNom support will improve.
Most registrars do not offer the ability to approve the transfers away. I noticed RegisterFly have started offering this as well (which is good news for those with unexpired domains at RegisterFly). Most registrars stick with their automated systems. It's mostly the losing registrar which controls this bottleneck.

Yes, I wonder why all my transfers away from the BulkRegister/eNom system have taken the max alotted days...
I think they may have a game plan since it appears that pushing domains are very fast.
After a couple months I will transfer a few domains out of SRSPlus to test their response. I'll let you all know how that process goes.
Does anyone have passd experience with transfers away from SRSPlus or StarGate to share? ;)
