peachtreewebworks 06-26-2002, 11:11 AM Try ClickChatSold http://www.clickchatsold.com . Its currently free, but not the most reliable!
importcustom 06-26-2002, 11:14 AM no, but it sure is KEWL! what do you expect for free?? can't really get all the tools and gadets and reliablity for free, things do come with a charge (unforuntantly :( )

barrywien 06-26-2002, 01:17 PM Hi
You might want to put a little bit of money into your support - Clients like something that has been paid for rather than seeing there host using a free script or service.
Just a though
webzone.ro 06-26-2002, 02:31 PM Well, I have found a very interesting company.
www.get1on1.com
Very good service.
inbuco 06-27-2002, 06:28 AM Consider http://www.phplivesupport.com/
It's only $99.95 and the most feature rich software I have ever used. I have used several very expensive paid services like live person and none compare.

NOTE, this is $99.95 per year NOT ONE TIME! Read the small print!
dandanfirema 06-27-2002, 09:02 PM I was a user of ClickChatSold for about a month or so. I really believe in the live chat feature. I have received a number of signups following discussions on live chat....not to mention how much easier it makes solving some support issues. After another long night of CCS being down and seeing my page load slowly or giving errors, I decided to look into the alternatives. The suggestion I landed on was Liveperson. While it is CERTAINLY not free, it appears to be a nice solution. After installing it onto my website, one of my customers came to chat about a feature that he was looking for and actually commented on how much he liked the new chat, that it was much faster.....
The biggest downside to the product is price......Since they don't put prices on their website...atleast I had a lot of trouble finding it....it is as follows:
Express $49/user
Pro $99/user
Corporate $500/user
While I realize that you can just about get a new server for those prices....what is it worth to gain or retain a couple extra customers? What does it cost if a customer chooses not to sign up?
All that said, I have to connection to Liveperson. I am only a customer.
JamRover 06-28-2002, 07:26 AM We just started using CCS and only for a short time. Hope to migrate to something a little more sophisticated.

Thats a hell of a lot better than $99/month ... right?

Let's just say; I'm not happy.

Yea, but what is your point? Curt was only trying to make sure that everybody understood, because looking at their website, it is not clear that this is an annual license.

peachtreewebworks 06-28-2002, 12:41 PM If remember correctly, phplivesupport was not in the same class as the others. It required you to keep a browser window open (or at least minimzed) and made annoying sounds everytime it refreshed the screen to check for new visitors :(
