Hello,

Right now, I am trying to figure out which one is better between those...

I have checked WHMAP Ver 3.'s feature and it looks like good such as they are in planing stage for virtuzzo migration.. and looks like payment support is better than WHMAP ver 2.

Also they are now working on plesk automation...

specially.. I am interested virtuzzo feature that they mentioned.. it will be really nice once it is in WHMAP ver3..

How is WHMAP ver3 compare to MB4/5? if you are using, please share your experience...

I have used whmap version 2 before. I've also used Modernbill 4 and just recently I have migrated over to modernbill 5.

I can tell you modernbill 5 has a whole lot of bugs that still need to be worked out which makes it an unstable billing system to use, hopefully things will improve when they release version 5.2 in early January. WHMAP looks very interesting and I would recommend you try it out because MB5 is too early in it's lifetime to call it great, MB4 is just getting old and Modernbill has stopped releasing updates for all the bugs in it.

I would pay monthly for WHMAP V3 and wait for a new billing system planned to come out, it is called the Silver Billing system and I heard it may very well be the new Modernbill and the owner's of it (auraclesupport.com) looks like they plan to be the new Kayako.

The silver billing system will be an upgrade to http://whoiscart.net/

WHMCS mate. Overpowers WHMAP easily.

yes i will have to go with WHMCS also. Version 3 of WHMCS which will be released shortly (beta is ready now and is running great) already does Plesk and Direct Admin and WHM.

The list is very long on features as to compared to either one of the billing systems that you are looking at.

This is my opinion of course.

This is a topic of discussion that I've been thinking about a lot lately. My issue is that maybe I'm looking to far into this.

On one hand, I like ModernBill because there seems to be a bit more activity/development going on there. At the same time, they're having their own issues and there seem to be a lot of frustrated users. The configuration aspect seems like it will take ages and never get fully customized. I want something simple and to the point.

WHMAP - I've been very happy with v2 to tell you the truth, however my needs are expanding. I *need* DirectI integration with at least RTR functionality (register, transfer, renew). I need to see that v3 is going further at a good pace... I haven't been getting a good impression on this from their forums and hope it gets kicked up a notch. v3 was like vaporware for quite a while and I really waited through for a good product, which I feel it has turned out to be, but just needs that extra "edge" with the DirectI support, maybe more integration with forums, helpdesk scripts, etc. and then I could say it's near perfect for my use as long as it continues to grow with my needs.

WHM AutoPilot is a script that I had no trouble setting up and getting started with and would *love* to be able to continue using it. However, if support for my CC processors is not there, and DirectI integration isn't there either, how am I supposed to be able to use it?

I personally haven't liked either of them, although WHM AutoPilot still has a chance to gain my full support. If it's a matter of $50, $75, $100, whatever - let us know! I *will* pay for this extra functionality I seek, which is something that Modernbill is aiming to do as well.

For those recommending WHMCS - how do you feel about having the helpdesk integrated into the billing system? One issue is that if I want to ditch WHMCS in the future, I now have to find a new helpdesk solution as well. If the script is having issues of any kind, it's very likely that both the helpdesk and billing will be affected, rather than just one or the other.

The help desk is quiet robust, so I don't mind, but Kayako would be nice.

Try Clientexec, they support a lot, and have directi as well.

One thing to keep in mind is not just the modules offered but the stability of the system and security risk - if any - are associated with the system.

One that seems to be improving on modules is AWBS but not much is being done to the stability and inner features of the actual system.
