Let me get this straight, is this correct?

Celeron D 2.4
512 MBRAM
74 GB Harddisk
10,000GB (30Mbit!) on a 100Mbit line

For $45+$30 = $75/month?

Which transit links do you have, and is the bandwidth guaranteed?

Do you have a test download file?

kiettyyyy
12-24-2006, 07:22 PM
The post says that the 30mbps++ is on a 10 mbps line.

We currently use: Mzima, Savvis, Global Crossing, Abovenet, Cogent(Out of bounds comm.) and ATT.

Bandwidth is guaranteed.

Test file: http://208.70.255.42/test.zip

Cheers!

The post says that the 30mbps++ is on a 10 mbps line.
a 10Mbit connection is 3300GB per month transfer if fully utilized 24/7. How do you push 10,000GB through a 10Mbit line? :X :P

kiettyyyy
12-24-2006, 07:39 PM
Upgrade to 100 mbps :P *just ask for it, its free*

So this is in fact the valid deal?

Celeron D 2.4
512 MBRAM
74 GB Harddisk
10,000GB (30Mbit!) dedicated guaranteed on a 100Mbit line
$75/month?

You do realize that this is about $400 worth of bandwidth? :P

Is it possible to pay a one time fee to upgrade harddrive and memory instead of the monthly charge?

How about reboots, free? (saw that you had an email system and phonenumber for this but didnt see any prices).

Controlpanels avaliable?

Oh, and btw... Your "Infastructure" option on the right menu is not working...

Yes it is possible to pay a one time fee, you must PM me about it first.

We do not have any control panels available, about reboots, they are free*for the first five* unless you have an APC reboot port. For colocation, reboots are free, APC systems are no longer required.

Yes i can see that too.

ip that provided for test going to colocationamerica.com from Cogent. is this pure cogent network?
how is your support?

is this still available?:
Celeron D 2.4
512 MB(default) (Upgrade to 1GB for 30$, 1.5GB for 60$, 2GB for 90$)
74 GB Harddisk
3500 Gig B/W (10 Mbit port)(Upgrade to 10000GB for 30$)

kiettyyyy

No. Not at all, this network is NOT cogent only. It is in the bgp mix, though.

What is your company name? I'm unable to find any record of a company called "vivid-hosting".
What is your relation with "colocationamerica.com"? Their website looks like some kind of scam.
Which datacenter would these servers be located?
You say that the bandwidth is guaranteed. So if I would buy 10 servers with each 10,000GB traffic, I can use 300Mbit transit 24/7? (Total costs: $750/month)

kiettyyyy
12-26-2006, 02:41 PM
We just rent space from colocation america, we are in the 1810 suite in one wilshire and on the 4th floor in the Aon Center. If you think it is a scam, you don't have to purchase a server. Customers are already recieving their servers today.

How 'bout HDD upgrade ex: 200G HDD??

kiettyyyy
12-26-2006, 03:01 PM
For all upgrades not relating to RAM or processor, you must send an email to me at kchau@vivid-hosting.net

We are close to sell out with these dedicated servers, I'll put up a list of what we have left in a few hours. We still have a lot of space for colocation if interested.

yeah the one on their site does appear to be just a screen capture of the managed.com table, which has info text that is non-image embedded and has a clickable link.

looks a little shady.

Sorry, Try using E-Mail *I've been building new machines for all of our dedicated server sales today, sorry for not responding to the post/thread*. If you think I am "shady", you honestly don't through my company or anyone related to me. You can ask our previous customers about our business ethics. The customers that ordered have already recieved their servers. You should not ever assume about company business ethics.

Not to mention, Vivid-Hosting is NOT a big competitor that looks at every one of it's clients as another faceless corporate entity. We maintain one on one relations to EVERY single customer of ours. The reason why Vivid-Hosting was established: to make sure there are a few Los Angeles based providers that do not act like NewportTechnologies. If you do not know what i'm talking about, look it up. Why did I bring up this name? Because that company was the one that made Vivid-Hosting's colo and dedicated spark.

look kiettyyyy; you advertised here, and I asked some questions, you dont answered all questions.

also we have seen part of your site is exact copy of managed.com, and asked if you are reseller of them or not.

there is no insult involved. I think you should answer all questions, before anyone think of anything wrong. this is what we all do.

bodhisattva
12-27-2006, 09:51 AM
yes, in all honesty giving yourself a testimonial is great, i'm sure it goes real far with customers.

but ignoring potential customers inquiries and their questions about your possible business ethics can definitely be cause for concern for those who may have been considering your company.

but you're right, no one has to order from you. i was interested in this deal, but the lack of communication from the start turned me away.

Ah man..I had a great post that was good and long...did I forget to click post last night...anyhow

On this page http://www.vivid-hosting.net/dedicatedcolo.asp 4th paragraph under dedicated servers "privvate vlan" is misspelled.

So I'm not going to write out my post again since it was a page post.

But basically what bohisattva said: I was a potential customer that was going to get a server yesterday until I saw this thread.

Quote "Sorry, Try using E-Mail *I've been building new machines for all of our dedicated server sales today, sorry for not responding to the post/thread*. umm..ok..so you are the salesman, tech support, and customer support?

You did put up this thread to get business but your "one on one relations to EVERY single customer of ours" and should be added "potential customer" here is pretty poor since what, were not customers yet?

By the way...I don't think your site was of your fault...it's basically looks like a template that was cut up and just stuck into a html tables. So whoever you bought it needs to explain themselves or needs to get more creative.

I'm sure everyone here just wanted a explanation of what was posted several times already.
