Hi, what's a good, reasonable range for rates that payment processors like 2Checkout and Revecom charge?

Thanks.

2CheckOut takes 5.5% + .45 for every sale

It really depends on your volume. If you're a really small company, with less than $2000US in sales per month, you're probably best off with something like 2checkout or Hostcharge. If you're running $5,000,000 in sales per year, the government may still consider you a small business, but you should certainly be in a position to get a decent rate around 2% or less, with your merchant account provider.

(I knew everyone would vote for the lowest rates :D)

Doh. :homer:

Oh well, lol, I guess I made the post too general anyway. Maybe I should be asking "what's a good rate for a small business just starting out, without a merchant account?"

:D

If I made $5 million per year in sales I would probably retire :)
