My year hosting is up soon and would like to know if these guys are still good (they were on my list last year when I went with my current local company). But, I want to go now with a company that is a bit more stable.

Any advice on weinbar.com, aletia.com, wizardshosting.com would be appreciated.

aletia.com

Just do a search and you will see more than you want to..

Wizards

Don't remember ever hearing anything bad about them, So usually not hearing about a company is good around here..

Weinbar

I had remembered this name from somewhere after doing a search I remembered..

From being stable point of view I hear site5 and venturesonline are pretty reliable.. Good luck..

Aletia and weinbar used to be great, now they are well...:disagree:

Take OKIHost's advice and do a search here at wht... Lots of reading.

Wizardshosting has a very good reputation and although I don't use them myself I'm betting you can't go wrong with them...

Good Luck in your search. :)

Run from Aletia and fast :)

The others can't comment, don't use.

over the last year I have heard nothing but good things about Wizards hosting. I agree with the others, do a search on the other two to find out about them as there is more than enough to read about at least with regards to Aletia.

If you ask me this question a few months ago I would have said Aletia; now I just wouldn't recommend them anymore. Although the server I am on rarely experience problems, I am however moving my site to another host as soon as I can. Loading speed has been terrible lately and FTP is at times unacceptably slow even on broadband connection. Support is no longer as fast as they used to be when I first signed up, and it was said that support tickets go unanswered on their forum =/ Well, just my 2 cents.

I remember Weinbar being bought up, and people having problems with network downtime and slow support. Do a search on them.

Read my sig ;)

Personally I find Voxtreme to be the bees knees at the moment - and they have some great Virtual plans too.

Ex-Addr, Ex-Liquidweb, Ex-Hostsave, Ex-*****, Ex-Phpwebhosting, Ex-Weinbar, Ex-Webfusion, Ex-Aletia Hosting... Now happy @ Voxtreme

Should I use Voxtreme with that kind of track record? Just kidding.:D And no offense to Matt. ;)

Out of the three you have listed, I would recommend Wizards Hosting. I wouldn't however limit your search to just these three. Try searching the forums :)

All I can say is STAY AWAY from !! WEINBAR !!, they wont even talk to you once you have signed up, I still owe them $250. They dont even reply to my mails now. Better to signup with anyone you find by searching "Hosting" on google but these guys . . . .

Wizards Hosting are one of the quiet performers on this forum. They've been around for a long time, have no black marks against their name and continue to putter along, as they should.

No wild sales to amass a client base, no outages.. just consistant uptime and service as far as I can tell. They've always been one of the hosts I've personally felt willing to recommend (along with hostmatters jaguarpc, and canhost)

Webhosts come and go, some stay but continue to provide rubbish, then there are the small percent that just do a good job, and have a wealth of quiet content customers.

Cyberwings and Aletia had huge names here and look at them today.... The three I mentioned in my last paragraph were there before, and will be there after... need I say more.

Just a note - anyone writing to Weinbar will most definately receive an answer and will be talked to. Kamil sent an email to us within the last few hours and we have already responded to ask him what his issues are to see if a resolution can be found.

Deru acquired the assets of Weinbar on 3/1/2002 and have responded to each and every email that has come in since that time. From the posts here it looks like Kamil had issues in January with regard to no one responding to him at Weinbar, but the email today was his first contact with us.

We have already asked Kamil for further info regarind his complaint in private mail.

My vote goes to Wizardshosting..I used them for ages and they were top notch. If you're lucky enough to get Vital in the helpdesk for your problems then you're superwell taken care of instead of just welltaken care of. make sense? ;)

If you go with WH...and see Vital - tell him Cee misses him ^_^ ta.
