I have been trying the demo version of plesk (as an Admin). Is it possible to limit the bandwith allowance for your client using Plesk? I could not find a way (in the demo) to do this....

How about web host manager? The demo at vdi.net requires login name and password which I don't know where to find...

Yes, in the admin login for Plesk you can set bandwidth limits per domain.

You can also do this in WHM. There is an option called "Limit Bandwidth Usage". You can view a limited demo of WHM at https://demo.webfors.com:2087

wow.. that WHM is really cut down..

The new version or should I say full version has at least 4 times as many options available.

I'm not familiar with the Web Hosting Manager ... where can I find more information? Do you recommend it OVER plesk?

P.S. Please don't answer my question by saying SPHERA is the answer! LOL ... everyone seems to do that!

I went to http://www.vdi.net and http://www.cpanel.net to see the demo for the web host manager, but still could not see what the username and password (vdi.net) or password (cpanel.net) that I need to use... Wonder why they want to give out a demo if they don't let people to actually see it :(

[BTW: I already have the WHM reseller version on my account now, I just wonder whether there is admin version of WHM??]

Anyhow, still people have not answered my question... how about PLESK? I tried out their demo but could not find where you can limit your client's bandwith.... Did I miss something obvious somewhere? :(

cheers,

When you select the Hosting type for a domain and then choose "Physical Hosting", the next screen has a textbox for "Traffic Limit" in MB/month. This is in a fully functioning version of Plesk...I don't know if the demo is the same.

Yep, that's the reseller control panel. I'd give you access to the Admin version, but that would also mean giving you root access to my server, and we both know that's not going to happen! :D
