I'm sure many people have gone through many hosts in the past. What is the Best Web Host you have used or currently use?

I have been with ********.com and I am pretty much satisfied with them. I also use Acunett, and they are pretty decent as well.

Currently I use MCHost, but I haven't been with them long enough to say that they are the BEST I've ever had. I still stick with OLM.net, they were a GREAT host, and I will promote them in any way I can! Not like their stupid magazine ads are or anything :)

Definitely chatcircuit.net. I've been through the ringer with Web hosts in the past. Horrible, horrible experiences to report.

I've had no downtime and personal, speedy service with chatcircuit. They seem to take good care of their customers...I'm living proof!

Ive been with VenturesOnline.com for 10 months and think they offer the best overall service.

AffordableHost.com also offers a quality service, and uptime is great.

I have accounts with VenturesOnline, AffordableHost, ValuableHost, CyberWings, and just opened one with EarHost, and think of them all VenturesOnline.com is the best :)

I recommend Either Vibehost.com If you are looking for a linux server or adehost.com if your looking for a win2k server.

I have used HostRocket.com and they suck...they completely ignored my tech requests at the end. I am at Jatol.com now and I LOVE those guys. Great uptime, speed, tech support/customer service. So persoanlly I like http://www.Jatol.com

Netfirms.com has the best approach for most general website hosting needs. What I really like is when you regisiter a domain with them you get hosting for free (http://www.netfirms.com).

When you want to move up, their paid hosting is only $5 a month.
If you are paying only $5/month for hosting, you want to make
sure you are hosting with someone who can actaully maintain their service.

Something you do not see much of anymore: They are also honest!

I've been with HOSTWAY.COM for a long while (until recently).

They are EXTREMELY reliable, I can honestly say I've NEVER had any downtime that was attributable to them, for the 18 month while I was with them.

Whenever I've had downtime, it's always been an issue with my ISP, meaning I can't access other websites at that time either.

So HOSTWAY.COM get A++ for reliability from me.

Support-wise, they answer emails within a few hours, with I think is good enough.

And the're not going to shut up shop overnight. They've been around since the internet's "Year DOT" and they have over 100,000 customers.

The only thing is, they're fairly expensive when compared to smaller hosts.

And they DON'T include things like MySQL in their base packages, like other hosts do. You have to pay extra for MySQL.

That's why I've switched away from them now, I want to incorporate MySQL into my website, but I don't want to pay a fortune for it.

However if your needs are simple, and you don't mind paying a bit extra, I can highly recommend HOSTWAY.COM for reliability.

Please ... anyone ... even if you're just BS'ing me, it'll still make me feel more at ease !!

I'd like to retract my statement about earhost being good.

Phenominet.com is the only host I've ever had that I've been fully happy with :)

tera-byte for me...they've been nothing but professional. great service and support. i've got no doubts about them.

Yes, Tera-Byte is not a bad host for the money. I'll tell you I recently helped some folks boot up a server at rackshack and I must say they exceeded my expectations. VisionHosting.net is solid if you are looking for a host with "big company" resources and "small company" client service. - By "small company" I mean good - like personalized service.
