View Full Version : Unlimited Reseller Hosting, 100% Uptime UNLIMITED SPACE?????
M4NDR4K3 12-15-2006, 09:19 AM Hello,
First of all, sorry for my poor english.
I don't have a lot of money and I'm starting my own "Reseller Company" and I've found this deal on Ebay (I cannot post link's)
cgi.ebay.com/Unlimited-Reseller-Hosting-UNLIMITED-SPACE-TRANSFER_W0QQitemZ220058163891QQihZ012QQcategoryZ194QQcmdZViewItem
Domains Unlimited Disk Space Unlimited Space Data Transfer Unlimited Transfer Monthly Fee $ 8,99
What do you think? It sounds great but... it's gonna work? It's just 8,99, I would give it a try, but I dunno I need some feedback from people that knows about this.
Thanks for your time

dhcart 12-15-2006, 10:16 AM It's impossible what provides unlimited space and/or data transfer. Also I don't believe what can find a reliable reseller hosting under $20/month. Go away from them.
FlaNative 12-15-2006, 10:29 AM Unlimited!!! Clearly overselling. Why take a chance with your new company? For a few dollars more you can have reliable hosting from a well established company. I recommend WingSix.com, they are owned by ServerCentral (reviews on WHT) which is well known for their excellent service.
I've had a reseller account with WingSix for five months and the uptime/customer service couldn't be better. (ServerCentral.net is in the Chicago Equenix datacenter.)
SSHocker 12-15-2006, 10:39 AM Sounds like a great deal ! .. $8.99 is a bit pricey though without a free domain and a free iPod
Swelly 12-15-2006, 10:50 AM Not another ebay deal. I don't think this would be reliable. However, if you do go with them, let us know how it goes.
Kemik 12-15-2006, 11:01 AM I love the way the GeoTrust date and time isn't dynamic like they usually are.
alex-developer 12-15-2006, 12:22 PM Personally I don't think that this hosting will last long... scam
Just checked the link and uptime is less than 99.9%

alex-developer 12-15-2006, 12:26 PM I liked the feedback: "Worst customer service EVER Their customer service and support sucks SO MUCH!
Follow-up by ebooksmate: Stop sending sarcastic emails Buyers be aware the guy is sick need help Grow up" :D :D

M4NDR4K3 12-15-2006, 02:16 PM Ok, I was going to use this hosting company, but I guess I'll go for a good one. Hopefully I'll get enough money on the way to keep paying.
I like this webhosting:
cirtexhosting.com/resellers.shtml
The cheapest plan (25 per month)
I like that "Overselling Allowed", I guess that means that I can create account over the limit I have. So if I have 10gb, I can create all the accounts I want, until my user really use that 10gb, isn't that right? (some times my english sucks).
Does any one know any reseller that offers the same plan (10GB, 150GB Transfer, Private Nameserver, Overselling, etc.) but cheaper and that reliable?
Thanks for the reply folks :-)

FlaNative 12-15-2006, 02:27 PM Yes, WingSix has a better offer -- only 14.95 for 15 GB of spacepace, 150 GB of bandwidth, unlimited domains, overselling allowed. Servers are not overloaded and are located in the Chicago Equenix datacenter. Owned by ServerCentral a well established company (reviews on WHT) which is well known for their excellent service.

Sounds good, but where it says: overselling capable? or whatever? In WingSix you have to pay monthly some extra 5.00 to get private Private Nameserver and other 5 dollars for the weekly backup, so in the end is the same, isn't?
Thanks for your time
SB-Steve 12-15-2006, 03:08 PM yes but those are extra features.
you can find a shoddy host that throws all this stuff in but.......
I do the same actually and like people here said its about reliability and service.
I don't think any worth while reseller plan is under $20 a month

Agreed with this! Reliable service costs a little extra IMHO.
M4NDR4K3 12-15-2006, 03:21 PM I almoust made a huge mistake (like G.O.B. from Arrested Development would say).
I think I'm gonna go for Cirtex, they look serious, and have great support (I've chatting with them for a while).
I'll tell you how this goes...
Thanks for your time
Swelly 12-15-2006, 03:23 PM Thank you have made a good choice, they are pretty active here and seem to run a tight ship. Let us know how it goes!!
M4NDR4K3 12-15-2006, 03:28 PM By the way: Y'all rock! You save me a lot of trouble, I love this tipe of forums with people that knows about samething and help other that dosen't (like me)
maunic 12-16-2006, 08:10 AM really, stay away from those providers, if it´s "too god to be true" think twice before invest your time/money, take care of your "hosting brand"
providers who offers unlimited/10000 sites, unlimited bandwith ( != from unmetered) are the ones you should avoid...
good luck !!
DWS2006 12-16-2006, 01:47 PM I would avoid this type of hosting. There is no such thing as unlimited (maybe unmetered in some cases) no host can really offer this.
Ben_G 12-16-2006, 01:59 PM It's pretty safe to say avoid eBay for hosting at all costs. Webhostingtalk is a very reliable resource for choosing a quality hosting provider for the services you need because in the end you get what you pay for.
"Unlimited Hosting" can be another term for Unlimited Problems and limited Support. With plans and prices like that it would be impossible to hire reliable and knowledgeable admins that can help you with issues you may come across.
Hope this helps!

While I agree with this statement, WHT is a very solid source for useful information on web hosting, mainly because it's host companies AND people that have been customers. So basically you get points at all sides. There are other useful sites out there that are directly related to web hosting and reviews on companies. One would be http://ww.whreviews.com others would be tophosts.com (mainly paid soruce but great for finding lists) Tons of review sites, but WHT is for sure up on my top list :P
PremiumHost 12-17-2006, 01:30 AM Google is a good source for finding good host too :D
You may be confused with all the ads in here and possibly faked reviews in host review sites.
I liked the feedback: "Worst customer service EVER Their customer service and support sucks SO MUCH!
I love this this too. The buyer account seems to be No Longer Registered.
I love the way the GeoTrust date and time isn't dynamic like they usually are.
hilarious!!!
Don't go for ebay deals my friend, any reseller company on ebay is most likely scam or just horrible in general.
Good Luck on your search.
