I am wondering I have a dedicated server in fact 2 or 3 of them 1 is windows and 2 are unix. I want to do some game hosting on them. If there a good game panel out there that clients have access to do stuff other then change the setting I force them like not give them access to change the amount of slots. I was wondering if any has known of any I can check out. I would like to know if there is any cheap or free out there. Please post what you got. So i cam look at them. I have been thinking about making my own i do web sites not sure how hard it would be but I just don't have that much time.

There is Cortex from The Planet you can take a look at here:
https://www.insomnia365.com/index.html?p=cortex

cPanel also had a beta version of their gameserver panel portion of cPanel on forums.cpanel.net I believe.

Cheers

There are in fact two main control panels that are great for game servers. Tcadmin is for windows based servers and can be located here: www.tcadmin.com (http://www.tcadmin.com), tcadmin is very reasonably priced and an excellent control panel, however it dosen't work for unix at this time.

Second game panel i would look into is one that is designed for linux and windows based servers. It is called game panel and can be located here: www.game-panel.com (http://www.game-panel.com). I would suggest it for the use on linux, but if you go all windows your much better off going with tcadmin, better functions.

Hope that helps.

Only problem all is cortex is for planet customers only and I already have my servers and everything. The Planet have a nice DC but I have had problems in the past. Can you get just the cortex and put it on your own servers?

I would like to be able to host the panel myself on my boxes. I have seen gamecp.com but damn they are proud of that panel

I wish I could play with a demo of it I hate to go all windows. But from what I heard it might be the best to host games on all the game would work on windows.

Tcadmin offers a demo for the syetm on www.tcadmin.com (http://www.tcadmin.com). If you look on the right side part way down there is a drop down box to select to be a admin or a client. That way you can see both sides of the system.

I've used TCAdmin for a few years now and love it - highly recommended!

as far as I know the linux version is still in development. I used it for awhile and it worked fine but I could not get over the distinct advantage of windows vs. linux in a game server environment so I just switched back to windows.

I would highly recommend tcadmin and windows. With windows you can run almost any game server that has an executable file.

side note: support is very good over at tcadmin as well. Good friendly folks and they know just short of everything in gaming.

Hi,

Used it for a while, but then used TCAdmin on a different server. It's ok, but not the best one out there,

I think if you're serious at all you should code your own (or pay someone else to do it) since none seem to have all the features (at least when I was looking for one) I ended up coding my own in all of 2 weeks that had all the functionality I wanted. I'm not using it anymore but it did it's job and now sits in my giant archive of coded things that are now longer being used by anyone.
