Thanks importcustom 06-24-2002, 10:00 PM ?? iamdave 06-24-2002, 10:41 PM Make slices. Studio64 06-24-2002, 10:56 PM File -> Save As -> filename.png -- Open Fireworks File -> Open -> filename.png Add slices File -> Save As -> index.htm -- Open Dreamweaver File -> Open -> index.htm Go to it. importcustom 06-24-2002, 11:42 PM slices?? what does those do for you?? iamdave 06-24-2002, 11:46 PM It slices up the images, and makes the HTML for you. importcustom 06-24-2002, 11:57 PM ok, got that, but im havin troubles writing text on top of anything, do i just add layers, or is there a better way??? NetXL 06-25-2002, 03:21 AM Heh - I find that slicing it up 'manually' works better. Flatten all of your PhotoShop layers and work out what parts need to be images. In some cases you'll need to turn off a couple of layers beforehand to get the background and then put them back. Save the chopped up images, optimize them, 'Save for Web' usually makes them a decent size. iamdave 06-25-2002, 03:23 AM Originally posted by importcustom ok, got that, but im havin troubles writing text on top of anything, do i just add layers, or is there a better way??? Well there is a better way. Why do you need writing over your pictures? If you need writing over your pictures, then you can set the picture as background of the table, or write the text on the picture in photoshop. If you just need to write in a table, then delete the image that is in that table. Roy@ENHOST 06-25-2002, 06:08 AM Yeah, slice it like a Ginsu knife! Do manual slicing, and for some slices it is better to be GIF and some JPEG. You can save lots of filesize by choosing the right format. |
