If you see something that appears contrary to forum guidelines, please use that handy dandy report button.

Thanks!

The one you reported isn't a foreign language :s Did you hit the wrong report button?

And it offends you because?

I get that someone may be slightly askew of the rules but I am willing to bet no one has "I hate LaurenStevens" in Swahili. So chill out a bit.

Lauen is correct in that foreign languages isn't allowed.
All publicly displayed messages are limited to the English language. This includes posts, titles, signatures, and any attachments or other forms of public display.
But the title she reported wasn't a foreign language per se.

Kinda like me saying I am a proud ocker :auflag:

well, it is the new trend to be offended by christmas trees, religion, television and so forth.

so why cant i be offended by not being able to break the same rules that others do?

if i cant have merry christmas in my user title, then i think the no foreign language thing should be upheld.

Lighten up. This is a forum. People aren't saying Happy Chanukah or anything like that. I believe it's even.

Want to say something? Happy Holidays? Maybe that would work without excluding other religions holidays?

So one is to think you had Merry Christmas in your user title....and a mod warned you or you were asked to "remove" it?

i shouldnt have to exclude my OWN holiday.

why does everyone have to exclude their holidays.

this is so out of hand.

with this @$$backward logic, it would mean that on my birthday, no one can say happy birthday to me because it isnt everyones birthday.

pure insanity!

Maybe I'm wrong here but going by the posts by the mods I don't think so.

Has any mod actually said you can't say it? If the answer is no, why are you posting such things?

If the answer is yes, even still, what is going through your mind?

I think somebody needs a little break from WHT.

I see no reason why you can't say Merry Christmas here, IIRC last year the mods names were changed to different "christmasy" things, like reindeer, etc.

Maybe close your browser, shut down your computer, get some sleep, then go see a movie. WHT is a great place to hang out, but like all good things it's bad in large and extended doses ;).

pure insanity! You're not excluding YOUR holiday by saying Happy Holidays. THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF SAYING HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

When Tucan Sam says Follow your nose, wherever it goes, he does not mean following it down a trail of crushed fruitloops with a straw to your nose.
