Google is currently doing its monthly updates to their database. New results are showing up on www3.google.com & www2.google.com.

During the update, the new database begins to appear first at www2.google.com and www3.google.com, while the "old" results are still at www.google.com. Once the changes at the alternate domains are finalized, they'll begin to shift over to the thousands of servers at the "regular" domain.

But all the way through the process there are no problems accessing www.google.com.

So you can get a preview of what the google database is going to be by searching those alternate domains -- you'll find that it's not the "same stuff." And it looks like there are some pretty significant changes with the June update, by the way.

Yes the june update has been very good to me so far. The last couple of updates have been buggy, I had a few sites dropped, and then picked back up in this latest update. I havent really had the time to check my keyword ranks yet, however I guess I will just wait until they start showing up on google.com.

I heard at another forums that www2 and www3 will have lesser entries or something like that.
