Can someone tell me how to setup VDS accounts on my server?

Do you have the software installed? one way or another, its a lot more then just someone telling you. If you pay for it, it will be easier, otherwise, expect to spend some time(and I dont mean hours) doing it

Actually Im new to this. I have just the base OS installed on the server with the standard things like proftpd, sendmail etc installed! So what software do I need to setup VDS accounts? Any url you could point me to that might help? Thanks for any help!

well, its really hard to point you into the wrong direction. VDS are based on the OS, setting em up from freebsd to linx is different. Do you have a great understainding of the OS you are working with?

I have a fairly decent understanding of the OS. Currently running RHL7.3 but can setup freebsd instead if thats required. Would prefer to stick to Linux though.

Thanks for the link to freevsd, I was thinking I could setup WEBCP (http://webcp.can-host.com ) on the server after that. What do you suggest?

The control panel for vsd isent bad, and not hard to setup, really, any other control panel would need to be setup per vsd, the vsd one is just setup once

wow....when did you get it for 3grand? now it says 250/cpu....i might look into it....so can you tell me your experience with it? also any chance of setting me up with a demo to simply test features end users can get....just for a few days?

As for priceing, total amount will be $3000, for Virtuozzo on Dual PIII Box with 933MHz CPUs and one year support/upgrades. I bought it here, in Moscow, it was developed by Russian company.

But I did not purchase the HSPComplete solution, with all that bells+whistles, only the Virtuozzo core (command line interface). Works fine so far as we test here.
