I just noticed this in pwebtech's TOS, located at the bottom of this page...
http://www.pwebtech.com/unixbasic.html
"99.9% uptime guarantee does not apply to natural disasters or provider problems."
Seems strange to me. If uptime does not apply to the provider's problems, then WHO's problems does it apply to?

9 out of 10 cant provide you with 99,9% so it actually doesnt matter, but writing such a thing in TOS is bad thing

LOL, that was funny. So really they don't guarentee a thing except their own problems or client issues, but who's to say they won't blame it on the provider?
Guess it works for them?

They are referring to their upstream provider's (Nac.net) problems. Those problems are out of the hands of Pegasus, so they are making a distinction to cover themselves.
It makes a lot of sense, because unless you control the network, how can you be responsble for problems that occur in the upstream?

I think they are basically saying that they will work their hardest to keep the server online, but problems that may cause the server to go down out of their control (IE. Provider Problems, Natural Disasters) they do not want to be held liable for.

"99.9% uptime guarantee does not apply to all servers that went offline no matter what was the reason" = 100 % safe if you have this in your TOS :)
