If I originally bought a merchant account for my offline business, can I use it for my web host as well? You know... punch in the numbers and let it get processed?

I do not know for sure, but I have a few clients that their offline processors would not let them use it for online purchases. I have not looked into this myself though, just going on what they have told me.

Probably not -- at least not without permission from your processor. Many times your discount rate is determined by the type of business you're transacting.
