Jerms 06-22-2002, 08:34 PM Quote from aresnetwork.net Our prices start as low as $9.95/month loaded features. Prepay for one year and you can get 10% discount! Skie 06-22-2002, 08:38 PM you can also pay by a year if you want to, as it says. there aren't very many places to only pay by the year with, although most companies offer that as an option. Jessicam 06-22-2002, 09:00 PM I think DownTownHost (http://www.downtownhost.com) has a plan for $7.95/month. And it's less if you pay yearly. Another option is HostCulture (http://www.hostculture.com/) . They have a Special package plan going for like $59.95/year. Jessica Jerms 06-22-2002, 10:19 PM these are too expensive for me... any other suggestions would be helpful Rochen 06-22-2002, 10:27 PM To be quite honest, I don't know what level of service you expect for sub $7 prices  Jerms 06-22-2002, 10:34 PM THE TRUTH OF MY SEARCH ----- how about... 250mb disk space 5 GB traffic Unlimited pop3 e-mail accounts Unlimited e-mail forwarders Unlimited MySQL databases Unlimited subdomains Pre installed scripts Easy to use control panel Unlimited FTP accounts Website statistics Two advanced shopping carts Online WYSIWYG editor Custom error pages File manager for 5 bucks a month? www.freestylehosting.com I'm looking if I can get a better deal... I still don't know if they offer cgi. Skie 06-23-2002, 03:36 AM eh, i'd be weary of something that cheap. and if it doesn't have PHP/mySQL its not worth it, IMHO. but, what the heck, go for it. theres a few hosts that offer plans very cheaply, but they use Cogent bandwidth and generally don't have much support. if its not $1/gig of transfer plus a little bit of overhead, i'd definately be weary. diederik 06-23-2002, 01:07 PM Originally posted by Skie eh, i'd be weary of something that cheap. and if it doesn't have PHP/mySQL its not worth it, IMHO. but, what the heck, go for it. theres a few hosts that offer plans very cheaply, but they use Cogent bandwidth and generally don't have much support. if its not $1/gig of transfer plus a little bit of overhead, i'd definately be weary. Cyberpixels (http://www.cyberpixels.com/plans.php) may meet your needs. I've been with them over 2 months now and am very pleased. bambenek 06-23-2002, 03:24 PM Cheap hosts are cheap for a reason... Anyone that offers the world for 3.95/mo is a liar. lwh 06-23-2002, 03:31 PM i would like to ask if anyone know of any NT hosts with MS SQL database. I will appreciate any comments or suggestions. I need to change web host ASAP. Thanks Jessicam 06-23-2002, 10:04 PM Cyberwings is very cheap, indeed. But it also hasn't gotten that many good reviews in reliability and customer service here at WHT. :/ Jessica avara 06-23-2002, 10:42 PM Most web hosting companies will give you the option of yearly fees instead of monthly fees upon signup. If you're looking for really cheap hosting, I would recommend posting in the requests forum and I'm sure you'll get a couple of offers.
