Can anyone recommend a good health insurance provider for the self-employed in the U.S.? Which health insurance company do you use and how much are your monthly premiums?

I'm located in Chicago, Illinois. I just found a site called Insurecom.com (https://www.insurecom.com/) and completed their application to get various offers from different insurance providers.

get incorporated first do it as an s corp

then apply for the insurance, you dont necessarily need to be too honest with the number of years you have been in biz :cool:
when you apply for the insurance

most insurors are interested only in groups

a tax id number will qualify you as a group

fly solo and you will have problems

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield, they are pretty good, but im not self insured...oh well...same thing maybe :)

But anyways u can see ur state plans (as they may vary, I'm in Fl)
just use www.bcbs**.com (** bein REPLACED by ur States 2 letter initals :)
