Their network is good - but their prices are very high =/ BurstNET 06-21-2002, 11:58 PM Why would you need a reseller? If you want their service, just buy it directly from them... Fastnet(FSST) is a Tier 2 provider....they use Cogent & Qwest I believe....they are not that big of a company, thought they are publicly traded...they are our largest regional competition, but their network capacity is alot less than ours... Why not go directly to Cogent or Qwest? Sean R. BurstNET RackMy.com 06-22-2002, 01:24 AM they are not that big of a companyUm, are you sure about that? 1st quarter revenues of $4,319,812, that's small :) viGeek 06-22-2002, 02:48 AM I beleive they own netcarrier.net, netcarrier offers colocation and other web services. They have by far the fastest network I have ever seen, do a search on here for "jynx.net". I can get more details about the company, I know a guy who works for them. StarGate 06-22-2002, 03:32 AM ... I really LOVE their domain name... fast.net -> Fast Net(work) EXCELLENT!! :jealous like hell: ReliableServers 06-22-2002, 03:30 PM Originally posted by RackMy.com Um, are you sure about that? 1st quarter revenues of $4,319,812, that's small :) Yeah tiny if your burst net :stickout :stickout :stickout hahaha Not to mention they own several companies outside of the fast.net namebrand. the-admiral 06-25-2002, 11:01 AM They recently bought netaxys which had a pretty good network, and had had the largest datacenter in philadelphia. They seem to be doing what Verio did a few years back... grow to critical mass by buying other ISPs. Unlike Verio though they seem to be buying up only quality properties. RackMy.com 06-25-2002, 11:07 AM Yeah, I am not to sure who Burst had them confused with but they are probably about 15X larger than Burst. BurstNET 06-25-2002, 01:24 PM << Yeah, I am not to sure who Burst had them confused with but they are probably about 15X larger than Burst. >> No their not....not even close....they are only a few times bigger than us actually. They are our largest regional competitor, the only competitor really in our backyard, so we know ALOT about them. Take a look at their stock prices as well...they are about to drop below $1.00 a share...even after the spent millions on Netaxs. Sean R. BurstNET RackMy.com 06-25-2002, 02:31 PM Sean,I hate to burst (snicker) your bubble but Fast.net is a whole lot larger that Burst.net. Question, does Burst.net do over (or even close to) $1,400,000.00 / mo in sales. I seriously doubt it. BurstNET 06-25-2002, 04:49 PM << does Burst.net do over (or even close to) $1,400,000.00 / mo in sales.
