Hi,

I would like to propose a new sub forum called "Spam Blacklist".

Spammers can change hosts just like that, but its hard for them to change domain names and thats why we need to be notified or have someway of looking up a domain name. What better place to do it than here may i ask? This is the biggest community of Web Hosts and I think creating a spam blacklist forum would be one of the best ways to find out who spammers are.

There could be simple rules where by you must post in a subject:

Spammer: domain.com

And in the message you would need to show a copy of the offence plus your web hosting company.

Have you taken a look at hostabuse.com?

I would imagine that spammer can change their domains easily (only $8 a piece), so this may not be too effective.

Hostabuse, to be honest does not have the host population like webhostingtalk.com

Also a domain name is the hardest thing to change and our best weapon against identifing them.

Its not that they change domain, but they simply register a new one.

Well, this si more for host hoppers however: http://hostabuse.com/

Every now and then a post is put up about a spammer or hopper, etc., however I'm not sure a forum for this is something any of us wants to deal with. We leave he said/she said to be decided by the forum visitors, but this would require quite a bit of moderation and very likely will lead to tons of complaints by listed parties.

If you have an urge to be threatened daily with lawsuits, my suggestion would be to start a specialized forum:

Spammers
Hoppers
Credit Card Fraud

Maybe 1-2 more areas of abuse and you'd have a nice simple small forum where users wouldn't have to look over 13 forums to post, etc. Maybe...

Is there anyone alive at hostabuse.com ? I was under the impression that it had been abandoned.
