Anyone knows?

WhoisGuard 5 Pack

Do each of the five allocated protection guards last one year from the date that you buy the pack or from when you individually used them?.

I think you must 'apply' whoisguard for your domain and the time starts ticking from the date of 'applying'.

I might be wrong here though...

Richard, where are you? (I would like to know this as well, regarding other matter, if you catch my meaning) ;)

Thanks Stan, I hope you're right, lets wait for Richard confirmation one way or the other.
Ideally they COULD last until you transfer a domain :-), see RF :-( .

I emailed namecheap support about this same question re: the 5 pack.

I received the following answer: All WhoisGuard products are expiring from the purchase date.

Following the register fly problems I no longer think its a good idea to hide your registrant info. If something goes wrong legally the owner would be your registrar since you allowed them to place their contact info there. your registrar maynot play nice in letting you get your domain back.
