ok thats it i am sick of this...
I got my server from nocster.net 2 weeks ago and i have nothing but problems with it, first they gave me only half of the 512MB ram that should come with the server, i opend a ticket - they fixed it... then my server got only 30/kbs because of a 'bad switch', i opend a ticket - they fixed it...my server seems to reboot itself - i did not care and now it's is the second time that my server just froze!
i opend a ticket 7 hours ago and my server is still down ffs my server is going up and down like a jojo, do you guys think it's possible to get a refund ? i really don't need any more of this :angry:

Please email me your ticket number(s), to sean@burst.net, and I will personally look into your server and find the problem and have it corrected ASAP. It is possibly a hardware problem, and I will get the machine totally swapped out for you.

Okie dokie then, you pay less than 120 a month for a server and expect a 7 hour responce. Get real, I'm really getting tired of these people that think they will get the world for nothing. My best guess is that the most nocster is going to make off that box is $40 a month and that’s with not doing a whole lot of math on it.

Now lets take an average tech cost of about $3000 a month (for an on-site tech who's qualified enough to handle any dedicated server problem based in PA, some areas may be more expensive than others but PA's pretty low). So that means each month one tech is going to be responsible for supporting 73 servers, and that only pays for one SHIFT of a tech. So three people working around the clock to support one "block" of servers means 1 tech at any given time has to support 219 servers. That mind you just pays for the tech and the base server costs leaving no profit, based on my rough calculations. So going by that to actually make a profit those techs are going to have to support more than 219 boxes per person per shift to put the word profit in there. So quit crying so damn much, if you want a 7 hour or less response go elsewhere. Don't expect the freaking world for a few pennies.

</end of rant>

Note, I am sorry that you are having problems with your server, and do agree that no hardware failures should be excused but you have to realize the above mentioned factors to support such a low cost service.

You WILL get a reponse if you download AIM. It doesnt take that long to download. Yes, thier ticket system is a bit slow... but who cares, their SUPPORT is fast; if you utilise all their methods of support, and not just rely on the ticket system.

They have someone online (on AIM) most of the day, everyday - ie instant support most of the time.

I'm thinking the same thing. The customer really isn't asking for all that much. He's not asking for unlimited bandwidth. He just wants his server to run normally.
