View Full Version : Colocation for bandwidth heavy sites

I've been looking into places to colocate a server. So far, dtwebworks.com and servers.catalog.com look good; I can put out 200 GB a month and it costs <$450 for the rack space and the bandwidth.

Can anyone comment on the quality of these companies and/or suggest any other good companies that have better bandwidth pricing?

Also, how important is it that a colocation host be local to me?

Can't go wrong with dtwebworks --> check their special out in the advertising section of this forum.

Be weary of catalog. Do a search on this forum to read other peoples comments.

The network issues have been long gone... I haven't had any troubles with my server in a while now (they dumped @home for sprint as their main network over a month ago and since then things are doing great).

Only gripe I have is the cost of dedicated servers. The've just about doubled in the last two months! Luckly i'm still paying the 219/mo i got back in october :)
