The online status is now a star.. is it part of the new layout ?

I didn't noticed that change until a few minutes ago.

Is it possible to have the old 'online' instead, can't find that option in Options.. !?

The star is too big for the text line, it looks strange.

Not sure if the star was made or it was already there as an option but I think the star should be green when online and red when offline. Plus making it a bit smaller might look nicer.

OK, I was just going by a2b2's statement that invisible mode was set, yet I was seeing as online(along with everyone else in the thread)

The red would be for invisible users, only administrators would see it. We would only see online/offline (green/grey).

would be nice to see them swapped, although the orginal skin would be nicer :)

Another vote for the coloured circles ;) It's what I'm used to from other forums. The star just seems.. wrong and too big.

Yep, colored balls have my vote as well. Stars are ugly and hard to tell apart from a glance.

Is there any way we can go back to the old text version for us vertical people? The star looks just weird in vertical, I prefer the text personally.

How about we make the image a little smaller and move it up by your user name? :)

That's what I thought it was at first too.

Ahh that's what that star means, that was confusing me lol. It's a nice touch, but I still don't like the new page setup.

I prefer the circles over stars unless we're in kindergarten. Actually with the number of kiddy hosts out there, it's pretty close. Sorry I couldn't resist.

Until I read this thread that was my first guess or post count related.

Circles are pretty much standard on vBulletin forums.

Green for ONLINE
Grey for OFFLINE/INVISIBLE. (No one knows your on)
Red for ONLINE/INVISIBLE (ONLY MODS/ADMINS SEE A RED BALL OTHERS SEE GREY)

Hmm . mine star is always grey logged on or not. I dont remember that I have set to be invisible.

Yours is blue from where I sit ;)

The image size is 14x14, you have to update the postbit template :)

14 just seemed a little big to me. I just changed it from 12 to 14. What's everyone think?

IMHO it's perfect as is. If it was smaller I'd actually prefer it to the left of the username.
