One of the variations of the emails being sent with the Klez virus. :mad:

Yahoo mail seems to strip out the attachment though and just send you the message that came with it. Don't be shocked if you get a whole lot more like it with other messages or just blank ones.

i use outlook express
i didnt double click on it or anything
im just looking at the msg
i havent opened the attachment

so does this mean im ok? as logn as i dont open the attachment? or?
im going to virus scan my comp soon as i get home today =/

As far as I know if you don't double click it or open the script you are fine. At least that is how it works with Outlook. Not sure about Outlook Express.

I havent double clicked it, i havent opened the attachment, or anything. So does that mean im ok? (for outlook express)

I will hate to think of the possibility that one day virus gets so advanced we dont even have to double click it to get infected.
That will be very scary!

I use outlook express, and if you havn't opened the attachment your safe - delete the email and make sure you clear it from your deleted message just to be on the safe side.

I got an email a few months ago saying "i just wish you would like my new website" but there was certainly no virus just a weird kid.
I got norton with my XP machine.

I heard on these forums that the two files attached to these emails which people are receiving are both viruses, one of them is a picture image which has a hidden virus that changes your registry files - the other is a virus that crashes your computer.

My advise would be to not view any of the attachments, and delete the email in both the inbox and deleted messages folder just to make sure.
