Hi All,

Got a used rag550.
When turn on, it was checking ROM then said BAD FLASH FAILED.
Now, when turn the unit on the lcd does not dispaly anything.
Please can anybody help whats wrong.

You can try holding down the 'S' key while booting to reset the ROM, but it is likely that your ROM is bad, either from a bad flash attempt or as a result of a hardware failure. There are services that will replace it for you, and a mechanism for re-burning it from the serial port if it isn't a hardware failure.

The S does not helped.
Sound like the ROM is bad.
How can I try to fix if if this is not hardware issue? (I hope )

connect a serial cable and press the spacebar (multiple times) while turning the unit on. if you can get into the mini monitor you might be able to re-flash the rom.
