Dear Cornnuts,

We were not Down, Our CPANEL license distributor had some conflicts with CPANEL and we had to get that straight. No downtime was experienced at all.

Please contact our Support Team (http://support.wisehosting.net) in case of facing any issues.

Thank You

You know, (hint, hint) we wouldn't have to complain here if wisehosting had a forum and support on a different machine to the client's sites, or even an email address hosted outside the system.

its back up,
Thank you for all your patience everybody.

And IT Hosting I believe /scripts/eacyapache causes many problems, its best to go through the LAYER1 for the php upgrade however we did not choose either way due to some internal issues.

Thanks anyways.

Any notices sent out for current customers to be notified? If not, I would start issuing credit to those who are experiencing downtime. :) Just friendly advise.

Most people will have custom settings for php/apache and compile it by hand, so running that above command is not as easy as you think.

You have 100% uptime or something? Nothing ever goes wrong over at your place?

Thanks, but I will stay at http://wisehosting.net
The few times things have ever gone down it hasn't been a long time and they have always been good at letting people what's going on. As long as I know things are being taken care of as quickly as possible on their end, I feel no need to panic and jump ship.

You advertise a 99.9% uptime guarantee. What a joke! Since May 21st we've been trying to get credit for the hours of downtime we had during that week. We've written support tickets, emailed Support, emailed Sales, and emailed you personally Sina. All have been ignored, except the response from you saying we would receive the refund. But here we are 2 months later and still no refund and just more downtime.

You also advertise 24/7 support. Support was fine during May and early June. But now we have had simple support tickets open for 3+ days at a time without any response! Emails to Support and Sales also go unanswered. Your support is more like 1 hour, 2 days a week, if that!

In April we were told that the Parked Domain and Domain Pointer functions were broken in WHM. All of these would have to be setup through support tickets. On April 29th, we were told "it'll be done by tomorrow but just to be safe I'll say you give us 2-3 days". Now 3 months later, it's still unavailable.

Also in April wisehosting had all of their customers vote on which skin they should buy for the servers. We all voted and waited for the winner to be installed. At the end of April we were told "We are configuring 10 new servers by may 10th and the skin should be up around may 15th". Today is July 25th and we have yet to see the new skin!

And today our sites have been down for over 10 hours already!

What does all of this mean? I think it's crystal clear.

We do not recommend wisehosting.net (w-i-s-e-h-o-s-ti-n-g-.-n-e-t) to anyone. :(

Sina

I've emailed the username and other info to you. I also emailed another refund request 30 minutes ago.

You've got that right. I suspect that most hosting "companies" are run by 15 year olds and the tech support is their little brother.

You're welcome. Thanks for keeping us updated here.

I've never personally had any problems with support there. I don't think I have ever waited more than a few hours for a reply to a support ticket, maybe 3-4 hours tops. I've gotten help from your support people with problems caused by my own mistakes. I can't speak for everyone, but that has been my experience anyway.

Already more than 6 hours down and NO news from Wisehosting. Can't send email because their domain is not resolving, can't reach their support site.
Yesterdays problems had something to do with a DOS attack (so support told me a few hours later).
What is it this time ? Again we have to guess. I have 5 websites running on their servers. What do I tell my visitors ?
I don't call this a professional service anymore.
I am also considering of moving out, if they will let me (because of a yearly agreement).
Sorry, confidence is melting away. Communication is crucial in this business.

I signed up with them to begin with because when I did a search on them here there were good things said about them, but nothing bad that I could find.

Support there has been great. They have, more than once, helped me with problems that were MY problems, not theirs, and have always responded quickly to any questions I had. Because I have been so impressed by their support, I have hung in there with them, just figuring there are glitches here and there and they do fix things as fast as they can, and once they are back up again they reply quickly again.

My site has been up more than it has been down by quite a lot, but the downtimes are becoming very annoying in their frequency. Usually they aren't down for long when they are down. This is 'only' the second time since I started with them that they have been down this long. I hope whatever keeps causing the problems is resolved soon. I really don't want to move. :bawling:
