View Full Version : Modernbill?
Frimon86 11-09-2006, 05:44 PM Anyone know of any good reseller to sell modernbill licenses for cheap with free insalls? My friend is signed up with mblicenses but he said they are taking for ever to install his license and he keeps getting blank pages.
Any ideas?

No MB resellers would be allowed to post in this thread as that would be self promotion. I recommend posting in the "Other Hosting Related Offers and Requests" forum so that MB resellers can reply giving you an offer.
AH-Tina 11-09-2006, 09:39 PM cheap with free installs...and fast.
Hrmmmmm. ;)

ModernAdvisors 11-09-2006, 10:18 PM Tina,
That is not always true. When I ran MBLicenses, it was a tight operation, and the turn around time was very nice, in my opinion.
whatever 11-10-2006, 12:25 AM In your opinion. Under your management, MBlicenses was terrible and I am fortunate that the damage you did was minimal.
jerett 11-10-2006, 09:54 AM Oouch! o.O
LemCorp-Nahuel 11-10-2006, 11:24 AM You can always get a "free install" if you do it by yourself ;)
It's not so hard to get MB installed quickly, I remember it took me less than an hour to install it, and less than a day to have it running (and it's took a day because I always expend 12-24 hs on a new script, but you can have it in less time).
In fact, 90% of the PHP Scripts are very easy to install if you follow the docs =)

Its not always about "how easy" it is or how much time it takes. Sometimes people just want to pay to have someone else do it.

The Creature 11-10-2006, 11:53 AM Just my opinion on MB resellers.... they are almost always horrible. Stick with ModernGigabyte. YOu can find almsot anything you need to know between their manual and forums. Thier support staff has increased their numbers and quality considerably over the past few months as well.
Frimon86 11-10-2006, 03:29 PM So what does anyone know a good place to purchase an mblicense or what?

Sorry if I wasn't clear.
Frimon86 11-11-2006, 11:54 AM mblicenses.com sucks, gives blank lies about installing. I guess I will just have to go directly to modernbill if I want things done right.
edu4vision 11-11-2006, 02:25 PM thanks for the info. I will remember that if I planned to use MB... ;)
yeah, we have a lot of host review but not many billing system reseller review here...
Frimon86 11-11-2006, 03:08 PM I agree.
They are doing the install but its showing up blank pages and I did all of the server config myself even had server admins look into it and make sure I did the corrections right.
Yesterday he said he was going to look into and I didnt get a reply from him so I made two replies asking, him if theirs any update and he replies me "were going to look into this again, some time today"
Ive already wasted 9 days on my contract.

Frimon86 11-11-2006, 05:31 PM Sweet thanks.

You're right Tina, but I always like to do the things by myself...maybe I'm a bit selfish in that way...but, I want the things "now" and I can't wait to other people to install my scripts =P.
Frimon86 11-11-2006, 06:16 PM Ummm ok.........
Wayne-R 11-12-2006, 04:04 PM Frimon86,
Are you the "client" or is it your "friend"?
Either way, I know who you are talking about, and just so that other readers of this thread are aware there was a ticket open with this "client" on November 4th asking if we could do a reinstall for him. This was a current client, who had already received a free install with his purchase some time ago. I personally, as the owner of MBLicenses, offered to do this installation for him at no charge - simply out of goodwill.
13 pages of discussion in our helpdesk, and 5 days later, everything server-side was taken care of for Modernbill to function properly.
Now it appears our installation has been removed.
Now, I wouldn't go as far as to say MBLicenses "sucks". But if you don't feel that I have gone above and beyond to help you out, I apologize for that.
Hope business is good for you :)
Frimon86 11-12-2006, 04:35 PM Im not a client with you, you might want to go contact J and speak with him on this matter, I was looking to go with you guys for my business but he said you guys take for ever on the install.
Wayne-R 11-12-2006, 04:41 PM Frimon,
Ok, you had me confused when you first said "my friend", and then you said that "you" are looking for someone else to do biz with. ;)
Maybe J sees it a different way, but if you read the ticket, I do feel I went pretty far to help him out.
Maybe it's just me.
Frimon86 11-12-2006, 04:45 PM I think you went far out to help him, I havnt read no ticket or anything Im going off what he was saying youd have to speak with him though but Im sorry about the rude posts, uncalled for.
Wayne-R 11-12-2006, 08:02 PM Thank you.
